Last time we reviewed Nikon D90, but here is a review of Canon’s response with a better camera for an even lower amount. What we are talking about is Canon EOS 500D / Digital Rebel T1i Digital Camera with 18-55mm lens. Canon EOS 500D is an extension of Canon digital family, just above 450D. When we compare it with Nikon D90 that we reviewed, it’s better in almost every aspect, from resolution to much higher quality DSLR movie mode. For those that have Canon EOS 450D they will be glad to know that if they decide to purchase Canon EOS 500D, all of the accessories from 450D will fit on 500D.

First thing that you will notice is that Canon EOS 500D is slightly redesigned in comparison to 450D, it’s a more oriented for larger hands, but the difference in weight is just 5 grams, so you won’t feel any difference. The menu was also redesigned; it’s much easier for navigation then 450D, even easier than Nikon D90. The best thing about this camera is that it’s perfect for low light shooting, like sunset or any other low light situation.

Not only does this camera have almost every function better than Nikon D90 but it’s quite cheaper. The basic price range for a Canon EOS 500D is from $840 to $1500, which is quite lower than the price for Nikon D90. So keep your eye out on price compare because you might find Canon EOS 500D for the price you can afford, and this camera is something you don’t want to miss.
