Apple iPad
Good news for all you Apple fans. In San Francisco, Apple CEO Steve Jobs has revealed the new Apple iPad, a tablet-style PC that is similar in look and feel to the iPhone.
The iPad doesn’t have an external keyboard or a mouse but instead comes with an on-screen keyboard and a touch interface. Its screen size is approximately the size of an A4 page and it’s only 1.2cm thin. It does everything you can do on a notebook or an iPhone, such as surfing the web, checking email and connecting to Google maps. The screen can orientate in landscape or portrait allowing you to read books, watch videos and it integrates nicely with iTunes.
For those of you who were expecting a high price for this device you might be pleasantly surprised. The base model of the iPad is around US $499 and for the top of the range model which includes WiFi and 3G, you can expect to pay around US $829.
It is expected that the device will be released in Australia around the end of March 2010. So keep an eye out on Price Compare for price updates.
